Privacy notice and terms

Who we are
Parea Maintenance is a trading name of Parea Property Limited, company number 13703306, registered in England and Wales. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about your information at hello@pareamaintenance.co.uk.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number and email address
- The address and postcode of the job, and the type of property
- Whether you are a homeowner, landlord, letting agent, business or tenant, and a company name if you give one
- Your description of the job, any photos you upload, and the times that suit you
- Records of the work we carry out: quotes, dates, notes, photos taken on site, invoices and payments
- Whether you have chosen not to receive our emails, and when
How we use it, and why we are allowed to
- To reply to your enquiry, quote, and carry out the work. We need your details to take steps you have asked for before entering a contract, and to perform that contract.
- To keep a record of each job, including photos, so we can deal with any later questions, snagging or claims. This is in our legitimate interests and yours.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping accounting and tax records.
- To send occasional emails with seasonal maintenance reminders, tips and news about our services. See the next section.
Our occasional emails
If you ask us for a quote or use our services, we may send you occasional emails about our own similar services, such as reminders to book a boiler service, or decorating tips before Christmas. We only do this if you did not tick the box on our quote form saying you do not want them.
Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also reply "unsubscribe" or email hello@pareamaintenance.co.uk at any time, and we will stop. Unsubscribing does not affect any work we are doing for you. We never sell your details or share them with other companies for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Only where needed, and only with:
- Registered trades we bring in for your job, such as Gas Safe engineers or electricians, who receive what they need to carry out the work
- The services we use to run the business: website and form hosting, email, our email newsletter service, and our accounting software
- Our accountant, and authorities such as HMRC where the law requires it
Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, we use providers that protect it to UK standards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 2 years, then deleted
- Job records, invoices and photos: 6 years after the job, for accounting and in case of later questions
- Our email list: until you unsubscribe. If you have not opened our emails for 2 years we will remove you.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email hello@pareamaintenance.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not currently use cookies for tracking or advertising. If we add analytics in future, we will update this notice and ask for your agreement first.
Terms
Quotes are fixed for the work described. Additional work is agreed with you before it is carried out. Payment is due on completion unless terms have been agreed in advance. Full terms, including cancellation rights, to be added
